FAQs are out on Maryland DDA’s Two New Support Waivers: The Family Supports Waiver and The Community Supports Waiver.
Background: The Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration is currently in the process of creating two new waiver programs that will provide supports for up to 800 children and adults with Intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) on the waiting list. The Family Supports Waiver is being submitted to CMS for approval and the Community Supports Waiver Federal Application is open to public comment through September 12. Both waivers are said to be on target for January 2018 starts.
