Diane Lewis, The Arc Washington County
Diane Lewis is recognized for an extraordinary 37 years of dedicated service to The Arc of Washington County, beginning in 1989.
Throughout her distinguished career, Diane has served as a senior leader across multiple programs, including IFSS, CSLA, and Residential Services. In each role, she played a pivotal part in strengthening and expanding services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and she continues to consistently champions high-quality, person-centered care to this day. Diane’s impact extends well beyond program leadership to shaping the culture and values of the organization itself. She has been instrumental in the development of The Arc’s mentor program, fostering professional growth and collaboration, and leadership development throughout the agency. Her commitment to supporting staff helps cultivate a strong, cohesive workforce united by a shared commitment to Empowering All to Achieve Meaningful Lives.
In addition, Diane generously contributes her expertise through service on numerous key committees, including Health and Safety, Standing Committee, IT, Employee Wellness, CARF, and the Person-Centered Thinking Committee. Through this work, she helps strengthen organizational systems, advance best practices, and ensure services remain grounded in dignity, respect, kindness, and the unique goals of those supported.
